Surgical aid in cataract extraction, intraocular implantation, corneal transplant, glaucoma filtration, and retinal attachment surgery; relief of mild to moderate pain due to osteoarthritis of the knee.

Surgical aid in cataract extraction, intraocular implantation, corneal transplant, glaucoma filtration, and retinal attachment surgery; relief of mild to moderate pain due to osteoarthritis of the knee. It also used for treatment of dry eyes. Sodium hyaluronate is also used to coat the bladder lining in treating interstitial cystitis.
