Pneumonitis – Introduction

Pneumonitis is a general term that refers to inflammation of lung tissue. Pneumonia is pneumonitis combined with consolidation and exudation. Many factors can cause pneumonitis, including breathing in animal dander, inhaling small food particles "down the wrong pipe", and receiving radiation.
