Eyes are the most beautiful gift to the humans from the god. With which we can see this beautiful world and enjoy everything.
Dry eyes syndrome:
Doctor refers to the dry eye condition when our eyes are chronically eye.
Symptoms can be listed as follow:
1. Persistent dryness of the eyes.
2. Inflammation and redness of the eyes.
3. Burning of the eyes.
4. Sensation that something is chronically irritating or in the eye.
Dry eye syndrome: Dry eye occur when eyes are not able to produce enough amount of tears, which will cause result in excessive wear and tear on eyes, which can be diagnose this condition using a small piece of filter paper placed at the outer corner of the eyes. This kind of test is called schemer test, which helps in measuring the amount of fluid produced by the eyes.
Reasons for the dry eyes:
Dry eyes can be developed because of many reasons: dry eyes can be caused because of many reasons. The more common reasons include chronic irritation of the end and for neutralizing harmful bacteria that might otherwise affect our eyes.
Dry eyes patient syndrome may not produce enough tears because of the aging process or as a result certain medications. More common medication culprits for producing dry eyes syndrome include use of antidepressants, certain medication to control parkinson's disease, use of hormone's including birth control pill's, use of certain antihistamines and other similar products. Some people (myself included) develop dry eyes because they live in an overly dry climate. Dirt or windy environment can also cause or increase the condition for causing dry eyes.
Many people also cause dry eyes syndrome resulting from a chronic illness including lupus or rheumatoid arthritis.
Other causes of dry eye syndrome include:
1. Long term contact lenses wearing, which can resulting dry eyes.
2. Failure of the tear lid to close completely.
3. Side effect of LASIK or other eye surgery.
5. Smoking.
Women are generally more at risk developing this condition than man because of many reasons.
Treatments available of the dry eye:
1. Fortunately there are various treatments are available for the dry eyes in the market and doctors are also available. Most of these are effective in reducing the symptoms of dry eyes. The most commonly used medication includes for artificial tears that help lubricate the inner and outer surfaces of he eyes.
2. Some doctor prescribes many kinds of eyes drops for the treatment of the dry eye. Restasis eye drops helps in producing tears in the eyes. The persons eyes are chronically red you can select eye drops specifically designed to help remove the redness in the eyes. Most of the times these eye drop work only temporarily however, and if you don't determine the cause of your red eyes they are bound to come back.
3. Contact lenses wearers should be particularly careful about ensuring they care for their eyes properly. Many may find wearing eye glasses part of the time mat help reduce any signs and symptoms associated with dry eyes. If your dry eyes related to the environmental hazards, don't cry! Use of simple sunglass can dramatically improve your vision and help reduce the temporary effect of dry eyes. Doctors may also prescribe silicon plugs for patients with problems associated with their tear ducts. These plugs help prevent lubrication from draining from the eye too quickly. Most patients won't even notice these plugs in place when placed correctly.
