Get enough sleep, the ideal sleeping hours is 6-8 hours.  Short naps during the day are also helpful. Regular rest helps our body to rejuvenate and prevents arthritis attacks.

Exercise regularly. At first you may think that exercise is not good for those who have arthritis but research has shown that one way of treating your arthritis is through regular moderate exercises. Exercise is not only beneficial to your general health but also to your arthritis. Moderate exercises will keep your bones and muscles healthy, it will also reduce the pains and stiffness on your joints and of course it can make you stronger and full of energy.  Start slow and engage in stretching exercises and once you feel comfortable then you can shift to endurance exercises. But of course you have to consult your doctor to know what movements are beneficial in treating your arthritis. You may also need the assistance of physical or occupational therapist.

Healthy well balanced diet. The food that you eat has effects on your health. Keep an ideal body weight to avoid arthritis flare up. A well balanced diet is beneficial in treating your arthritis. Your doctor or a nutritionist can help you with the proper diet and what foods to avoid. It is always best to keep a healthy diet for your general health and for managing your arthritis.
